This month sees the launch of the Mizuno Neo Accera, symbolising a new era of Mizuno trail running. The material and structural innovations have been anchored by one clear goal; to last the tribulations of 100-mile racing.

  • Material and structural innovation – The nitrogen-infused midsole innovation seen across the Mizuno road running silos, extends to the Mizuno Neo Accera. Providing trail runners with a delicate balance of softness and response, the nitrogen-infused top midsole is designed to remain highly resilient to compression over extended trail running efforts. The midsole is supported by a premium Vibram Megagrip outsole, rock plate and wide bottom gauge, to handle the demands of technical trails.
  • Globally tested – Development of the first Mizuno super trail shoe began in 2024, beginning with testing and feedback from trail runners in Asia and Europe. The Mizuno France Trail team, featuring athletes across all trail distances, were particularly pivotal in providing athlete feedback that created the Mizuno Neo Accera.
  • Global performances – Matis Leray’s 4th place at the UTMB TDS (145km/9500m+), was a standout performance for Mizuno Trail and the Mizuno Neo Accera. Competing in just the single pair for the 20 hours of competition, Matis’ performance was an excellent ode to the performance of the super trail shoe.

The Mizuno Neo Accera is designed to support the trail runner’s high performance training and racing goals, using innovative, technical materials that deal with the demands of varied terrain, pace and distance.
