Zurich, Switzerland, February 22, 2024 – Swiss Sportswear Brand On unveils the Cloudmonster 2, the latest iteration of the maximum energy return shoe, in a collaborative campaign bringing together scientists, music artists, and the running community.

The next evolution of On’s max cushioning hit, the Cloudmonster 2, is designed to deliver more performance for everyday runners. Updates to the iconic CloudTec® sole include an elevated stack height for a more cushioned sensation, combined with a new dual-density midsole which is firmer at the back and softer at the front – for smooth but energetic transitions.

To mark the launch of the Cloudmonster 2, On has collaborated with Kinda, the leading neuroaesthetics studio and lab to turn the neuroscience of sound into a custom track and music mix scientifically designed to energize runners. Each uses specific BPMs frequencies and melodic dynamics to amplify music’s effects on brainwaves, physiology and neurochemicals, helping to boost mood – a known driver of performance. This science-informed design process included custom neuroscience testing of the track and mix which showed an energy uplift in runners in three distinct ways: physically, through more dynamic heart rate patterns, emotionally, through mood boosts, and socially, through a synchronisation of runners’ heartbeats, known to drive bonding and connection.

The campaign features internationally-acclaimed DJ and producer Jayda G modify sound dynamics to enhance the energy of runners, over an original track by the music artist. London-based music trailblazer NTS Radio helped connect On, with the involvement of Jayda G, and two original mixes by American singer, DJ and producer Yaeji. These energetic mixes, which also feature the track by Jayda G, can be streamed by runners on NTS Radio. All compositions connected to this campaign uniquely factor in the scientific findings of Kinda Studios and run community feedback provided by On.

Launching on February 22, the Cloudmonster 2 will be available on www.on.com, through On’s stores, and via select retailers.
