ZURICH, SWITZERLAND – The award-winning Swiss running brand, On, introduces the Cloudace for its 2018 collection. As On’s most technical shoe to date, the Cloudace utilizes premium technology and engineering to combine a powerful push-off with next-level stability, demonstrating to the world that superior cushioning doesn’t have to mean slow. With an ingenious sole and high-tech upper, this shoe provides dynamic motion and protection in its most refined form.

This is the first shoe to combine both of On’s patented outsoles, with the Zero-Gravity Clouds in the heel ensuring a cushioned landing while the Rebound Rubber Clouds in the forefoot produce a powerful push-off. The midfoot is supported by a natural transition zone that encourages a quicker and smoother transition from landing to take-off, as well as evenly distributing pressure. The outsole system is further enhanced by the extra-wide, liquid-injected Speedboard, which both stabilizes the foot throughout each motion and propels it towards an explosive push-off.
The technical marvels extend past the outsole and into every design element of the Cloudace. The shoe possesses an upper comprised of innovative mesh that has been expertly engineered to provide both ventilation in the forefoot and additional stability where needed. The mesh is complemented by a no-sew tape, which ensures mid-foot stability while also evenly distributing pressure throughout the foot, as well as a TPU-molded heel counter that offers extra heel protection.
In addition to being completely secured, the foot is also cushioned by an ultra-light dual-density sock-liner, which is crafted from highly-resilient compression EVA and adaptive memory foam to provide absolute comfort and support for the foot mile after mile. Elite athletes, Olympic Gold Medalists and World Champions are all winning races in On’s unique technology. The On has graced more than 400 international winners-podiums; ranging from marathons, triathlons, ultra-distance races, mountain marathons, trail-runs, orienteering and track races.
