On a very wet and windy Tuesday evening, we joined over 100 property industry professionals at Coram’s Foundling Museum for the launch of Cycle to MIPIM 2020. The grand surroundings of the museum filled rapidly with riders from previous years and new faces, all keen to find out what Club Peloton’s original endurance event has in store for 2020.

Club Peloton Chief Executive Nick Hanmer kicked off the evening with a very warm welcome and a brief explanation of the Cycle to MIPIM event, which was first launched in 2006. He explained how much the event has grown and just how unique it is; bringing individuals together through a combined love of cycling and the opportunity to raise money for great causes and build business networks.

Nick then announced some very exciting news for 2020: the introduction of four exhilarating and very different routes including London to Cannes (via Folkstone – 1,500km), Valencia to Girona to Cannes (1,250km), Girona to Cannes (715km) and Rome to Cannes (835km). Individuals across every ride are fully supported with a dedicated crew and Ride Captains who help before the ride with training, as well as assisting with advice on kit, nutrition and fundraising.

Dr Carol Homden, Coram’s CEO, took to the floor next to explain that Coram is Club Peloton’s principal charity beneficiary and receives 60% of the money raised by Club Peloton. She invited Sally Beaumont, Coram’s Service Project Manager, to share with those assembled the aim of the Coram Adoption Activity Days, and how special and unique these days are for the children, social workers, foster carers and potential new parents.

To conclude the evening, Nick shared a presentation of images showing the many highs and lows of Cycle to MIPIM. It emphasised how special the event is and the bonds that form between riders over the six days, making the celebrations in Cannes all the more special!

We are excited to be working with Club Peloton again in 2020 and looking forward to sharing the event highlights and reporting on their fundraising efforts for their charity partners.
