Supersonic Fitness brings a completely fresh perspective to gym and wellbeing. Aspire helped to set the brand direction and bring people through the doors to see how this really is a gym with a difference.
Creating a brand to reflect a unique place
Supersonic Fitness is a new, independent gym and wellbeing concept based in York. Its founders approached Aspire to help them launch into one of the most competitive markets in the UK.
There were two big challenges to solve.
- Find the right brand identity for an innovative gym and wellbeing concept and help it stand apart from its competitors.
- Raise awareness of the gym ahead of its launch and attract people to experience everything that Supersonic Fitness has to offer.

Catching the eye of potential members
To meet the twin challenges for Supersonic Fitness, we co-ordinated activities across two areas.
Brand action plan
We analysed the competition and used the intelligence to define the key USPs for Supersonic Fitness as a high-end lifestyle facility.
We created the logo, colour palette, website template and brand identity – reflecting the company ethos and capturing the refreshing approach to wellness of Supersonic Fitness.
The ‘Fitness Fest’ event
For the launch of the venue we created a campaign, ‘Fitness Fest’, to run during the opening weekend.
We used social media, email marketing, PR management and regional press to target gym-goers, fitness fanatics, local businesses and inquisitive newcomers. The aim was to alert them to the festival of activities that were part of Fitness Fest.
Aspire organised the whole event with a mission to showcase the new Supersonic Fitness facility and provide a taste of what was on offer to potential new members.

A sanctuary of wellness for York’s city centre
Aspire’s launch material and management has helped establish Supersonic Fitness as a unique venue for health, fitness and wellbeing in York.
Building awareness through print and online media, including York Press and York Mix with a combined circulation of 1.5 million, has helped bring Supersonic Fitness to the attention of people in the York area.
Using high quality photography across all digital platforms as part of a strategic social media campaign clearly differentiates Supersonic from other gyms in York.
The design-led approach emphasises the unique facilities that Supersonic offers and helps to communicate the holistic and wellness theme that’s at the heart of the Supersonic Fitness brand.
